Two successful fundraising projects have now come to fruition. First, Beth Riley raised a total of £1393.75 for text books. As a result Mansa-Colley Bojang Nursery School now has sets of text books in English, Maths and Integrated Studies for all the primary years, 1 – 6. This is a great resource to support the teachers with the children, and we’re very pleased that all of the books were produced in The Gambia specifically for their national curriculum. Mark Ansell has also completed his fundraising project, raising a total of £1,020.31. Mark’s money will be sponsoring Jack’s final year of teacher training, and will also pay for a new primary school teacher to train, starting this September. This is a fantastic achievement which will help the school to continue to expand the number of children and classes that can be taught. A massive ‘thank you and well done’ to Beth, Mark and all their supporters.
