We are able to report that for this academic year we have been able to provide sponsorship to 12 teachers in The Gambia. The ECDA have once again helped us enormously by selecting students to train as teachers … a task we in the UK would simply not be able to do. In any case, it is a fundamental aspect of SAGT’s work that as much as possible is done in The Gambia, by Gambians, to further the aims of our charity. We remain very grateful to the hardworking committee who liaise regularly with us on all matters relating to our sponsored teachers.
However, none of this would be possible if you, our sponsors, were not there to provide the funds so badly needed. Sponsorship funds are building lives, from teachers to children to families in villages and onwards to the future children and families in an ever increasing circle of success. Thank you so much!
